  • I am 99% sure I have the Coxsackie virus--is it really unusual for an adult to come down with it? Also, is there anything that I could eat/drink that might actually be soothing? DH is asking what he can make for dinner as I lie here feeling sorry for myself and the # of sores in my mouth (I had taken the week off as vacation, but have spent much of it in bed).

    • Not unusual at all. I got it, too, when my child had it. Mine was worse, though. There is really nothing you can do about it. Hang in there.

    • Had it w/my kid...I'd recommend Aloe Vera Juice(not gel). If the taste is too much, mask it in another beverage; Try Red Zinger iced tea or another non-highly citrus beverage. 12-24 oz a day will help until the sores abate.
