Get this: My stepmother and dad have 4 kids (ages 13, 11, 7 and 5). My stepmom knew that one of her dds was on the waiting list for a spot in the 6th grade class at a private school. She never called to check on the status over the summer, nothing. SO, they all show up the very first day of school (Monday) and there was not a spot for the dd. So, now one of her dds is not going to school, is still on the waiting list while her siblings are going to school everyday. She won't put her into public school or another private school until dd gets a spot opens up....she said they only option is to homeschool her....yet she works 12 hour shifts 4 days a week...wtf?
