I find it very irritating when privates post everything but the cost. At least post what it was the year before to give us a range. I know we are to all assume they are about 30K but the fact is, for some of us the couple grand here and there DOES make a difference and we'd like to know.

How dare you judge like that. OP and her DH have a right to put all their resources into one thing if they so choose and her point makes sense. Barring the admission that there is price fixing, it is only fair for a school to give some idea if it will be 27k or 32k for any given year.

I hear what OR is saying--it is kind of the truth. The prices are going to go up by at least 1k a year, every year. Signed, a mom who is pulling kid out of private bc we so cannot afford it.
[ Reply | Options ]Do you mind telling us what year your child will have had the private education up to? I have seen a lot of kids leave excellent private elementaries and do so well on the tests the DOE gives that they loand in amazing middle schools. meanwhile the kids coming out of the DOE gen eds are struggling with tutors and so on for those same spots. It's scaring me.

C&C is guilty of this. No mention at all of the tution/fees but there is a section about they expect all families to kick in with donations annually.

Virtually all of them post their current tuition on their websites. What are you talking about?
