  • are there any women out there married to alpha-dog ambitious men who think they have the answer to everything? how do you deal with it? how do you deal with it if you know the men are intelligent and can be kind and funny but more often than not are in a bad mood and use harsh words/are very rude?

    • My dh and I have a code that we worked out when we were still dating that lets him know he is being an arrogant ass. I have a kinda sarcastic phrase that I use that only he really understands. He knows that he is looking like a jerk without me telling him so in front of others. Most of the time he is right but he doesn't have to be an ass about it. It only works of course because he is willing to listen to me.

    • See a purposely married a zeta- cat with no ambition, but I am not happy either. Hate having to be the primary earner and the one who is always responsible and FWIW put me a crappy mood, but I do not think I am rude or verbally abusive to my husband

            • DH: if you have no interest in sex then you do not have the tools needed to control said DH, second choice would be to negotiate control with your spending habits... if he is trued alpha dog sex and money are always on his mine - they are both porn to me
