Park Slope mom's - I keep hearing 321 is overcrowded. What are the #'s? How many kids in kindergarten with how many teachers?
3 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]^ It's more an issue of too many dc in the school overall. So rooms for specials are lacking, and they've had to put temporary classrooms in a structure in the yard. One of the Inside Schools comments from two years ago says there were 8 K classes each with 25-26 dc, but it didn't mention the number of teachers.
[ Reply | Options ]Those "temporary classrooms in a structure in the yard" have been there since the late seventies when I attended. Most people are this board are clueless about much of Brooklyn if they don't live here. It's all Manhattan hearsay as usual. There is a maximum cap that all public schools can have.
