  • Can anyone recommend a good pediatrican in Park Slope? Someone that is thorough and does not rush to prescribe. TIA.

    • We use Pediatric Associates of NYC, various doctors. They are fine, but don't know what your definition of "don't rush to prescribe" means, so might not work for you. I've been pretty happy with the care, generally use Dr. Oppenheim there.

    • I have a great doctor in Park Slope. His specialty is Family Medicine (not Pediatrics) which is a turn off for some. It has never been an issue for us. Hell, we got much better care from him than either of first two pediatricians we had with #1 ds. The best part is he treats all of us. So we can really coordinate visits and care. He is really a gentle person too which helps so much. And he has a new office which is not super busy. Dr Michael Raffinan (http://www.raff.yourmd.com/)

    • We use Pediatriac Associates too, Dr. Berg. They have offices in Manhattan as well. We've been able to use both offices with no problem since dd is in daycare in the city and we live in bklyn. Have seen about 3 other doctors and all follow same philosophy so we're comfortable with them. Have only been prescribed antiobiotics once in 10 months and that was for a double ear infection w/ fever.

    • I love Premier Pediatrics. Dr. Weinberger or Dr. Price are extremely helpful and always willing to talk through options.
