  • Real estate moms -- generally speaking, do home prices go up or down in the winter? We are moving but probably won't be able to buy until Jan. TIA

    • Down. You are in a better position to negotiate with desperate sellers (usually those that listed in the fall and haven't sold yet).

      • OR - Actually I would say the reason is because people who list in the winter have to move (divorce or relo) so are much less sentimental about their price.
