    • Last year DSs grandfather got him the deluxe light up-wheels with handle. The entire thing broke in 5 different ways the first month he owned it and I am now planning a trip to return the ($70) backpack for service. So I do not recommend that one.

    • DS has a children's place one that's been great and durable. Should be big enough to hold a 12 by 10 folder. DS could fit his lunch bag in there too, but that's not necessary, of course. DS's school does not allow wheeled backpacks, so I would avoid those too.

        • It's actually not safe to have your dc's name (in large letters) on her backpack. Allows strangers to call her by name, making her think they know her....

    • I got I got "orignal Junior" from LL Bean in pink. We used it for camp this summer and dd will use for kindergarden also, it's the perfect size for her. Her school sent a note, they wanted smaller backpacks and no wheels due to storage issues

    • Many schools don't allow wheeled backpacks. We've been really happy with ll bean.
