I'm a first-timer, 35 weeks along. My OB told me today that my cervix is "ripening," that the baby's head is in position, and I'm dilated 1cm. Two questions: what's ripening? And in your experience, does this sound like I may go early (please Jesus), on time, late...? Thanks.
