anyone have to do wash & fold for laundry? we used to do it pre-kids and was no big deal, now with kids i'm wondering if i would find it really annoying but the apartment that we love doesn;t have great onsite laundry.
13 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]yes, drop it off. is it a hassle with kids since you have way more laundry? do they do a good job? i rememer when i did it for us pre-kids it always felt stiff.
[ Reply | Options ]it depends, my people now are good, but living in all different places I found you have to try them all, or provide the detergent you like. A lot in Manhattan deliver so that's a plus! I haul it up a flight and now pregnant my loads get smaller and smaller so I'm dropping off every couple days.

I did it with an infant/toddler for a while. For us it did get expensive, but honestly it was nice not to have laundry on the list. I occassionally send stuff out now if I'm busy. Will you be able to do it sometimes? Just in case they need a certain shirt for camp or something like that?
[ Reply | Options ]yes, there are a few machines in the building in the basement. i just worry that with them being in the basement and there not being many that it won't be easy to do myself.
[ Reply | Options ]I think that should be fine and you shouldn't go by that. Mine are in the basement now and there are three for about 25-30 apartments and most people aren't up at 8am Saturday and Sunday mornings or home weekend evenings, so I get the room to myself. And then if I can't deal I send stuff out.

- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
