    • They are totally diff. In every way. coed vs ss, ultra competitive at HM vs gentle at Chapin... but I like dd in Manhattan, so for me, Chapin.. especially after all the recent scandals at HM and their money problem..

        • Girls were well rounded, polite, and creative. The curriculum is fabulous. The families seemed, for the most part, down-to-earth. It seemed to be the right school for dd. My dd is very creative & kind of quirky, but a bit reticent around new people. It seemed to be a school that accepted a very wide variety of girls, with diverse interests & personalities. Does that answer your question?

          • Kind-off. I thought Chapin accepts the A-type very social DDs, was I wrong? My DD is very strong academically (she's 9) but shy. She's also very artistic. Does Chapin accept DCs in higher grades?

            • Yes, you are wrong. There are some like that, but not the majority. I'd call admissions. They may have a few spots.
