  • Do you think it's okay to lock bedroom door and have sex (quickly) when kids (3 yo and 6 yo are playing in their room? Say on a Sunday morning?

      • I guess I mean, does it make you a bad parent. I did it this morning and dd (6) heard me. I feel disgusting and awful--thought I was being quiet. I know I've felt uncomfortable when I've heard others having sex and I feel like I could damage my kids letting them hear that.

        • What did your 6 yo say? Was he/she afraid? I don't see harm as long as child's 'overhearing' was not of something that he/she was frightened by.

          • maybe not "frightened," but I felt like she was titillated/amused/confused by it--I don't want to make her grapple with feelings she's not ready to have.

    • Not bad if you are discreet, which apparently you were not. I wouldn't want to have sex where anyone could overhear me - including children.
