Is there a place that I can list info about my nanny who will be looking for a new job soon? Haven't been on the boards in a while. Tks.

[ Reply | Options ]UB used to have a good childcare board, but not anymore, and it's not as active as Craigslist. I posted an ad for my nanny and provided her with the leads. I think I only had to run it for a week and that was it. You can repost the ad weekly if you need to. But if usually you can tell the ads that are truly written by mothers recommending their nannies - and those ads don't last long b/c people jump at highly recommended nannies.
[ Reply | Options ]Okay, that's great to hear, thanks. I am heartbroken having to let her go, and I don't want her to be stressed about not having a job, so I'm hoping to help her find something fast. Thanks for your info.
[ Reply | Options ]I also had a headline like "My terrific nanny will be available in September!". You can also specify the neighborhood the nanny would like to work in (if she has a preference). In the ad I listed how long she was with us, and her wonderful attributes. I also listed that we no longer needed her to do a change in my work schedule (so that it was clear why we were letting her go). My nanny basically left us on a Friday and started her new job the following Monday. Zero downtime for her!

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
