  • ds 2.7.... not yet potty trained. tells me RIGHT AFTER he's peed/poo'd that he's done. but refuses to sit on the potty or go near the toilet/potty. was told i should let him run around naked the rest of the summer. not sure if that works. did buy underwear - should i let him run around the house in his underwear until he soils himself? not sure what to do. thanks for the advice.

    • do you have elmo's potty video? honestly, it doesn't sound like he's ready yet. i would get the video, get "everyone poops", "where's the poop" and all the other fun potty books you can and talk it up. the m&m method and the naked method work well when they're ready. but they need to be able to anticipate peeing and pooping, not just tell you afterward.

    • I never understood the "letting him/her run around naked". Put underwear on him and explain to him what he needs to do.
