  • Anyone on with a SN child? What do you think I should do to help my sister with a SN child. I think I don't really do anything. Her son is sweet and seems happy but is a lot of work b/c he is non verbal, doesn't play with toys/entertain himself, and can't walk. She has another child too.

    • Hand Raised. You are a nice person. I wouldoffer to listen. I would offer your time. can you babysit so she can get a break. Can you sit in on some therapy sessions and to the extent there is reinforcement that needs to happen at home, can you help with that.

    • Also, like all moms, SN moms tend to not take care of themselves. Not sure how close you live, but could you regularly deliver some meals?

    • ITA. Find a way to give her some time to herself and/or something pampering, like a great massage, etc.
