On TV.com: JAMES VAN DER BEEK returning to tv

  • I made a decision not to take a friendship into affair territority. Now he (friend) has stopped talking to me, and I feel sad. I know I made the right choice but I am feeling sort of rejected and depressed about it. Help.

      • I hope so. The fact is, we both are married with young children. He could see me when traveling on business, and that seemed like a raw deal - to me, to our kids, to our spouses - I guess at the heart of it this is just not who I am. I have problems in my marriage, for sure, but I love my DH. Maybe it will never be passionate sparks like with proposed affair guy, but, it is reliable and he is a very loving father to our DC.

          • He is. A great man. It hit me when we went on a family vacation ... I think I miss getting more attention from him, but would not have it any other way (i.e., priority is attention to our DC).

      • We both admitted being very attracted to each other. The difference was I had no intention of acting on it. He wanted to act on it and I twice had to tell him that could not be. I said maybe if we had met in different circumstances, but now would not be the time.

        • And I just get angrier and angrier about it - at him and at me - can't stand being led on, then dumped, etc. - so when it came time to "act" I was just too annoyed as well.
