  • Anyone have book recommendations on marriage/relationships? Just the general seven year itch stuff and day to day barrage of child focused activities has made our relationship get pushed to the back burner, and i am lifting my head now to see it could be a problem.

    • went through this with dh. we hired a babysitter every Sat. night and did something just the 2 of us. it was a little werid at first and we just talked about dcs but now we are really connecting!

          • Often dinner & a movie. Or dinner & we take the crossword puzzle to do together. Sometimes go to the book store. I know it gets expensive, but we figure it's a good investment in the solidity of our marriage (corny as that sounds).

    • I liked "Mating in Captivity" by Esther Perel. It's different than the usual marriage/relationship books. The book "Passionate Marriage" by David Schnarch was recommended to me but I hated it.
