    • Are you high risk? Why are you leaving work so early? I'm lucky, I own my own business, and have decided to put it on hold for a year, but everyone else I know who is pg and working is working straight up to their due date.

    • Exactly my situation. Next week is last week and I am due mid-August. Worked right up until due date last time and was so exhausted when I had the baby. Regretted it. So, this time I am taking time for myself and spending time alone with DD before I have to split my time. I'm not going back so it's not as though I am shortening my leave. If you are going back, you can always ask for more unpaid time off. Most employers would probably be willing to give an extra month or so.

      • Yea.. mine is a little different. I am using PTO for the first 10 days and then I will be starting my short term disability.. It really sucks.

    • I'm 6 mos pg and trying to figure out how to take time before delivery. have changed jobs since my first baby and not too sure how it's going to work. what kind of leave are you taking? Short term dis? I would rather not shorten my leave on the back-end, so not sure how to juggle it.
