Let's talk Swag. What does each school give you as a parting gift after the tour/play date? We all now know Chapin gives a plant, what else?

- we applied to 8 schools and all DD walked out with was the art work she drew

- we got a fully-stocked pencil case, a box of dominoes, a flashlight, a thank-you postcard with dc's artwork from the playdate on the front (mailed weeks later), bubbles...I think that's it.

      - I thought it was annoying. I don't really want some dc's artwork with whom I have no connection. That seems more like something for current parents, not applicants. B does have a fabulous art program & much of the art in the calendar was fabulous, I just didn't think it was an great thing to give applicant families - It was a waste of paper - ripe for the recycle bin.

- Four schools out of eight have given swag: crayons at Friends, water bottle at LREI, envelope with stickers and things at Packer, calendar at Brearley which was given at parent interview but meant to be given to the child in preparation for the play date.
