I'm getting sick of DH coming home every night saying "oh, I'm not hungry" or "I don't feel like going out to dinner" (if I haven't cooked and would like to) because he's going on so many damn Summer Associate lunches at Jean Georges and Bouley and Morimoto... Grrrrrr

i don't know you and even so, i don't like you. why would you assume she doesn't have a job? not all jobs involve swanky lunches. and guess what? i gave up my job to stay home with my kids and yes, i'm jealous of dh's on the job fancy meals. it's ok to miss them or wish you could still go out for dinner.

I have, or with friends sometimes, but we can't afford the really good places, and its just irritating to have him constantly telling me about his "amazing lunch"
[ Reply | Options ]np: as a former biglaw lawyer, I can tell you that the food is yummy, but he'd much rather be there with you than the stuffy lawyers. The constant lunch thing is just a summer thing anyway. Also, unless he is a summer associate himself or a very junior associate, I would think that he wouldn't be doing those lunches with much frequency anyway.
