  • i am about 40-50 lbs overweight and thinking about lipo / tummy tuck. any pros/cons? how much would this cost if you had it done. did you keep the weight off? any tips welcome. tia

    • I am you but no doc will do it unless you drop some of the weight on your own. Also, stand back - lots of self righteous posters here will decry your efforts and tell you to put on sneakers and shut your mouth.

    • My mother's plastic surgeon would not do her tummy tuck/lipo until she was within 10% of her goal weight (I think he based it on BMI and her body type). I think she lost about 10lbs from the procedures, she wouldn't tell me how much it cost, said it was ridiculously expensive but she really happy after - has not regained the weight.
