  • I need to make a stroller decision and need some help. I live in NYC. Is a Bugaboo worth it? Is it something you can take on the subway?

    • You don't want to take Bugaboo on the subway. Though it's great as a stroller for walks around your immediate neighborhood - will go over any bumps or obstacles smoothly. For subway you want umbrella stroller. I recently posted for ideas as to which one - responses included maclaren volo, quest, or the chicco. If you just want one stroller my guess is one of the heftier maclarens, but don't have experience with them.

      • Okay thanks. I will travel on the subway a lot - so it sounds like it is not a great choice.

        • np- I take the subway daily, the Chicco Comfort is the one we use. It reclines and is a little heavier than the Volo.. Depending upon the subway stop (elevator or not), I think the Bugaboo is too heavy

    • I live in NYC as well, we got the mcclaren quest for #2. easy to carry on subway and bus. and we walk miles every day. bugaboo looks nice but never seemed practical to me. we used a zooper for #1 but it's a little heavy.
