On CHOW: Holiday cooking and entertaining tips

  • Posted earlier: pls no snarks. I have a 103 fever now and it's Strep. Do I ask DH to come back from his boy-golf trip or will I feel better after a day of antibiotics? I have a 2yo and work.

        • come home, and don't feel guilty. he had a few days of fun, you are really sick and need help. Wouldn't you do the same for him? And wouldn't he ask you to w/out hesitation?

          • No, he wouldn't. He would tough it out. But, he wouldn't have to ask. I would just come home.

    • Yikes - I recently got over 2 bouts of strep and have a toddler - it was rough. I think it took about 2 days on antibiotics to feel better.

    • You'll most likely feel a lot better tomorrow, but if you really want DH to come home don't feel quilty about it. Can you imagine a man taking care of a 2 yo and being sick? Now way - he would have called 911 by now!

    • skip working from home and take lots of naps.....you will feel better 24-36 hours after starting the abx. can you have your babysitter work for a few hours tomorrow? My dh rarely takes "boy" trips so I try to honor them as much as possible.
