when you were pg, if you were anemic and had to take iron, did it ever make you nauseous? I just took iron supplement after breakfast and threw everything up a few minutes ago. (8.5 mo pg)
8 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]thanks. will try to find it. i'd been taking herbal iron supplements and this is a prescription one (much higher dose i guess). feeling totally crappy now. : (
[ Reply | Options ]honestly, I was a non-meat eater for years, then became anemic. All the iron sups made me ill. Eat steak a few times per mo, and my levels are now fine
[ Reply | Options ]switch to cast iron pans. I am veggie, and my iron always test slightly above normal.
[ Reply | Options ]from op: thanks for the replies. i'm a non-meat eater, so that's probably why i'm anemic again (was also like this for pg#1, but was taking herbal iron...this prescription stuff is harsh!). steak sounds strangely good right now. lol. cast iron pans a good idea. i've been meaning to get some anyway. thanks again.

I took German herbal liquid supplement you can find at health food stores cuz others made me nauseous & constipated. Doctor recommended. Is it Floridex or maybe that is something else?
