  • i got laid off from my poorly managed and crappy company publishing job recently and having such a hard time finding new work. any advice? i'm drowning here. temping as a recepetionist for 12 dollars an hour and they're making me do work that should at least be paid 20/hour. :(

      • I'm so sorry. However, even though I still have a job, I'm right there with you. Publishing is tough these days. I've been looking for a lateral job in publishing for at least 2 years, (had a baby in between) and had no luck. check out all the agencies, Ed2010, etc. Best of luck.

      • Freelancer here. The market is drying up. You have my sympathies. I'm thinking of taking a break from writing because it's just too stressful these days.
