It's not that bad! There's something about their taking total control of your reproductive cycle that's a little creepy, but in our case, it was also a big relief to have someone else in control for a while. We got pregnant (with twins) on the second try: it was terrible not to conceive the first time, but it also gave our practice a chance to fine-tune the drugs to create a better stimulation. The shots aren't that bad. Stay positive -- it just may work!
