  • anyone have an aggressive 1yo? db has been walking since 10mo - very very active - and coordinated, great balance, all of which enables him to steal all the kids toys at the park. he especially likes stealing from the 2yo and 3yo kids, which drives them crazy. i think he thinks he is playing, but obviously he is taking what he wants. anyone have this experience? how did it change as child aged? what did you do about it? my mil says i need to "train" him, but he is so fast, i barely have enough time to keep up with him at the playground. and he seems to be totally ignorant of the negative consequences of his actions.

    • you just have to distract and redirect at that age. Sure, keep saying don't touch; it's not yours, but it will take a while for that to sink in.

    • he's too young to really get that he's not supposed to be "stealing" other kids' toys. distract, redirect and it'll eventually go away
