  • I need help deciphering the ERBs -- I assume (and pray) that a 96 is a good score. Is this correct? So many people talk about 99s & 98s that you'd think those were the median scores. Am I in the running for private schools? New to this insanity & don't want to chat with other parents

    • 96 is a very good score. My dc got a 96 and goes to Dalton.

    • It is a good score. Of course, you are in the running for privates, including TTs. But keep in mind that there are several hundred kids with 95+.

    • Dc had a 96 and great playdates, but was WL'd everywhere. But we needed FA, no connections, no diversity. Apply broadly and have your PSD work it. 96 is a great score.

    • That is a fabulous score!!! You are in serious running for TT and could get into many second tier as well. And as or said below if you need FA it is a much different ball game and you should apply to at least 11 schools. GL.

    • that is a great score-what is important is that it is consistent with other things, like playdate, ps report. and the stuff about FA that other poster wrote is bs for most schools. gl in process

      • Applying for financial aid does limit a child's chances for admission; the above poster is correct that you should apply more widely if you need aid.
