DH is considering a career in optometry. Does anyone have any advise on the realities of the job, earning potential, etc.?

What does this mean? 1-800 provides the contacts after an optometrist has diagnosed an eye condition and written a prescription.
[ Reply | Options ]yeah, but optometrists used to make money by selling the contacts. not so much anymore. and you'd have as competition these chain stores that do exams and sell glasses. I think it would be hard to build a lucrative practice unless you inherit it or partner with someone who already has one
