sorry. a bit ignorant on the whole school thing here in nyc. what is the difference between Hunter and Anderson?

Hunter is open to the public, but it is run by Hunter College, not the NYC DOE. So it has the freedom to design its own curriculum and select its classes. You take the Stanford Binet to qualify, and if score high enough, go to a 2nd round evaluation in person. Anderson is a DOE school open to kids from all 5 boroughs who score high enough (chosen by lottery).
