  • having #2 next week. Almost 5 yo ds is regressing (crying every night, playing with baby toys, getting in bed with us, googoo gaggaing). This too shall pass right?

    • treat her like a baby. coddle her, and pamper her. when the baby comes, treat her just like the baby, have her wear a bib, put her down for multiple naps, she'll snap ut of it real fast.

        • don't know if you are still reading. the idea came form, children, the challenge, by rudolf dreikurs. be serious about it, not to mock her. she will very soon realize that she would prefer to be older.

    • we are in a similar situation except dc is almost 4. He's doing some of the same things, especially the baby talking. I spoke to someone at our preschool today and was told that her dc did the same. I guess its normal.
