  • I recently lost some weight and I'm pretty thin (for me) but I have been eating dinners out a lot lately (a very social few weeks) and I really feel the difference. Even if I eat 'healthy' foods at the restaurants, I feel like a whale.

      • Hey, humor me, there's like 2 people on here right now. And you KNOW you eat more calories at a restaurant no matter how healthy the food, because who knows the ingredients they use

    • There is no such thing as a low cal meal at a restaurant, even if it is a vegetable plate. I am a pro dieter and if I really want to have a low cal meal out I order a salad with dressing on the side and a glass of wine and that is it.

      • ITA. Which is my point (OP here). Last night I had a salad (light dressing) and a halibut that was baked over a bed of some light juice and veggies. And a glass of red wine. I know it was healthier than most of the other options on the menu but still, prob. lots of sodium, etc

    • I think if have to be able to incorporate restaurant meals into your lifestyle if you want to maintain your weight. I don't believe in dieting. I think dieting is why our country is obese. Eat normally. Exercise daily. Enjoy life.

      • OP: Oh, I am and believe me I don't diet. I actually don't know HOW I lost the weight. But I was just saying that I feel heavier after all the eating out I've been doing, is all.
