C'mon! I'm not the only one with a nutty MIL. Tell me your best/worst story about yours!
8 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]Mine replied to DH's quick email birth announcement, with birth room photos, with "That's nice. Here are some links to some interesting articles I found about architecture in the Chicago suburbs, that I found while surfing the web." Actually, I think she might have forgotten to say, "That's nice."
[ Reply | Options ]Hee hee... She sounds like a peach. Ok, I'll tell one of mine. MIL always hated me (God knows why - I am *lovely* ;) Anyway, it looked like she was starting to come around once she found out I was pregnant, so when we got some ultrasound pictures we decided to offer her one. She replied "No. What would I want one of those for? It will just end up in the garbage." My mouth dropped to the floor. I couldn't believe someone could be so... so cold, I guess. Yeow.

Dh and I got into an argument one night and she wanted us to each tell her what the argument was about - then she would decide who was right and who was wrong. She really offered to do this. I hung up the phone on her.
