pg and feeling depressed and beating myself up with guilt over any stupid little thing i do or don't do with ds. how can i shake this feeling? i know i'm a good mother and love my ds more than anything, but sometimes i feel like i'm questioning my love for him bc i get so irritated or annoyed w/ him. immediately after lunch i put him down for a nap. didn't even really give his food a chance to settle in his little stomach bc i just needed space. now i'm eating a pint of ice cream for lunch.

Do you enjoy hurting your child? Does it somehow empower you to belittle him? Are you planning on keeping him as ignorant as possible? Letting him rot his brain on television? If you have answered "no" to all these questions... STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP for being a perfectly normal fully-functioning woman who happens to be a mother.
[ Reply | Options ]thank you. i don't know why this made me cry, but i have the best intentions for my ds and just feel sad when i cannot be totally understanding and gentle all the time.
[ Reply | Options ]You are a human... stop. No one is perfect and your child would probably not do well in society if you were perfect. You know what is wonderful about children? They sense truth; they sense love and they sense when someone wants the best for them. Really... please do not be so hard on yourself. You're fine. He is fine.
