I posted the other day about seeing a picture of a friend of the guy I have been dating and the friend was the guy who date raped me 11 years ago. I wanted to follow up. I saw the guy I've been dating last night and I told him the entire story. His first reaction was sheer shock over what I told him and he held me as I talked to him. He told me that his friend had complained a long time back that "some woman backed out of sex and accused him of rape after leading him on" and he found the story a bit overblown and thought his friend was making something up or not being totally truthful. As he talked he got more and more angry at the friend and told me that he didn't know how he could see this friend again that he was so angry. He then told me how much he cared for me and saw a future with me.

i am so happy for you. i was the poster who said tell him about the rape first before telling about his friend because i was worried he would take the friend's side. i am so happy for you that it worked out and he believed you immediately. he sounds like a keeper!!!! and you definitely deserve a good man after everything you've been through!

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
