I have a very bossy 3 yo...tells the other kids what they can be when they play pretend, tells them they are not allowed to sing, contradicts what they say. how do I help him become more likeable? is there any hope he will lighten up?

- Does your 3 yo have a sibling? How does his teacher(s) at preschool handle it? My dd is that way as well and we have seen a huge improvement as her younger sib has gotten older, a year in preschool where the teachers really helped facilitate different kinds of interactions with the other dc.

  - OP: he has a 10 mo sister. Preschool has helped with his playing with other kids but its gotten worse as he has become more outspoken and less shy

        OP, you sound like a grounded mom and it's likely that your kid is just going through a stage. Continue to model cooperation, give and take, etc., and your kid will come around.
