On TechRepublic: Off-work behavior that can get you fired

  • Anyone here cook dinner for their family and then clean up afterwards? Do you do this w/o resentment? My dh pretty much always cleans up after I cook, but occasionally if he has something else going on and I do it, I do it bitterly.

    • he cleans. i have to redo the counters and get pissed. I cook nice meals though - not a microwave dinner

        • this never used to bother me until I had dd. We have a tiny kitchen so I really notice it. he never picks up appliances to get the goop out

        • It matters b/c it's not like lazy ass DH does nothing all day. He made the $$ so that she had the food to make dinner. Is tit that big of a deal if he occasionally doesn't clean up the kitchen? Get over it.

    • I cook and clean up, but he works all day. I figure I have my down time during the day (when dc are at school) so I don't get resentful.
