i'm getting out of the city....the pressure of the preschool ap process got to me...this is not how i want to spend my time...too many kids here anyway, so i'll just save the city the trouble of having to school mine

let me let you in on a little secret (you don't have to buy into all that crap if you don't want to...shhh)
[ Reply | Options ]I agree, preschool only has to be stressful if you want it to be. My dd goes to daycare on the UES but if she didn't I would just sign her up for a preschool alternative program - maybe at Rhinelander for $7K per year, and then move to a good school district. Not stressful.
[ Reply | Options ]op-not my finding at all, daycare is not an option that i felt comfortable with and there are literally not enough preschools, so it's either you follow the sheep, or your kid stays home with you...and i totally cherish time with her, but she is happy in the school environment, and i feel it'd be good for her part time (3yo)

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
