NP: There is no supposed to. At a certain point though, when DB's poops get messier, wipes will be easier than water.
[ Reply | Options ]The wipes you are using are fine. using cotton balls and water will make the diaper rash worse. They don't really get wiped properly with the cotton and water. That was my mistake with my first born. You need to clean the area well (fragrance free wipes or warm water in bath), let it dry completely b/c air time will help then use aquaphor. Desitin can sting if there is already irriation. Try this before you start trying to clean up poopie diapers with cotton balls and water -btdt three times now.

I always used the all-free wipes like you are doing. Hospital and ped said it was fine. Just don't rub too hard and start using some Balmex or Triple Paste when it's a bit red. Also, if they only pee, then just blot don't wipe when it's really red. #2 got a TERRIBLE diaper rash on day 3 while in the hospital still and that is what they told me.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
