  • Public or Private school recommendations - very athletic boy (and, okay... sportshead husband).

    • For athletics, the schools with campuses are the best - Riverdale, Fieldston, Horace Mann in Riverdale; and ones in Brooklyn - Poly Prep and Packer (?)

    • What is a "sportshead husband" I disagree with above poster about campus schools, while they may have great sport facilities they may not always have the best teams. What else is dc like - you have to give us more so that we can recommend schools better

      • "Best teams" really don't matter until at least middle school.

      • DH grew up focusing on sports even though he and his brother ultimately went on to highly ranked colleges/grad schools, and just really thinks kids should play sports a lot (if they like them - obviously some kids are arty, etc.) It's just how his family is. We are half Jewish/half Protestant and could fit in in most settings. DS is smart, happy kid.

        • The poster who said teams don't matter until MS at least is right. Until then, ds can play in the weekend leagues, and pursue sports outside of school just like everyone else.

        • All private schools have great sports programs and encourage dc to play. What is dc's personality like. You might apply to the hill schools, Dalton, Trinity, CGPS, Town, Trevor, Collegiate,
