  • Help! My barely 3 yr old DS has stopped napping and won't really do quiet time in his room or on the couch. I'm putting him to bed earlier to compensate (now 7:00 instead of 8:00) and he falls asleep immediately. Trouble is, he's waking up around 5:30 a.m. and I'm beside myself I am so tired. Anyone BTDT? Any tips to possibly get the wakeup time a little later? I'd love 6:30 at this point! TIA

    • i am dealing with similar situation. ds is 2 1/2 and dropping his nap. he will not do quiet time in his room... but now that the weather is nicer i take him for a walk in the stroller. although he is not falling asleep, he does get some rest. sometimes iwill even let him watxh tv in the living room for 1/2 hr or so and that also relaxes him. i still put him to bed a the same time and he wakes up at same time.

    • Put him to bed at 8. It is possible that he only needs 10 hours of sleep that is on the low end but within the range. You may want to try 7:30 first and see what happens.
