        • nope, I was so sick that I lost weight during the first trimester. the only respite I got was directly after having sex with dh. It drove him nuts but something about the post coitus body chemistry changes brought relief. try it or not.

          • i was same, lost weight and felt nauseated every minute of every day. i wish i'd known about the sex thing. that is incredibly valuable information. you should write that down and seal it in little envelopes and sell them at maternity stores, better than the stupid lolipops.

    • i was like you, felt so so terrible and it lasted to 16.5 weeks, on the dot. same for my sister. then i woke up one morning feeling fine again, and that was a great day. the only comfort i can offer you is they say it's a sign of a healthy pregnancy- tons of hormones are what cause it, and genetics (just to be clear i'm not saying lack of morning sickness means unhealthy preg). also, i have heard ginger & grapefruits help. i was fond of watermelon and artichokes during mine. i went to see the Gates in central park when i had morning sickness and now even a photo of those orange gate things makes my stomach turn.

    • mine was always worse when I was over tired. eating protein even though I thought I didn't want it helped too. I craved carbs, but eating mini-meals with protein made me feel better
