    • Sure. Depending on how many kids you have you can do a party at a gym space for that, or just buy a $25 license from the parks department and have it in Central Park in an area that is open with picnic tables. There is one such area in the space right behind the Met Museum

    • Sure. Party in Central or Riverside Park. $25 permit and local pizza places will often deliver to the parks, esp. if paid in advance with a credit card. We just did this for DDs b'day.

    • Pizzeria Uno - don't get special entertainment. We've done several parties there - $15/kid. We buy coloring books, crayons and a pinata and that keeps them entertained for the 15 minutes the pizzas are cooking.

    • Why not a good old fashioned bp in your house? In July you don't have to invite the whole class to the party. Have 5 or 6 of her closest friends and have an Ice Cream Sundae making event and then let them play.

      • July is a really hot month. We had a July party at the CP carousel and everyone almost expired from the heat. The best and cheapest party for that budget is the Children's Museum of the Arts in soho. They have a party room, you get access to the museum, they do an art project with the dc, pizza, cake etc.

    • Build-a-Bear workshop? I loathe it, but it's a totally pre-packaged party and the kids love it.

    • California Pizza Kitchen. Also, you could try St. Vartan's Playgroup in Murray Hill. Rental is $250, room is a fully-equipped playspace (which houses a playgroup during the week). You bring in your own food.

        • On the UWS in the 80's on York there is a great shop for kids to choose their own pottery and paint it. its very kid friendly and designed for young and older kids, they have the option of renting space or if u only have a few kids there are tables already set up, u just pay for the pottery
