  • can anyone recommend a daycare on the UWS?

    • I think it's called Basic Trust. Around 99th and Columbus. When I was looking it came highly recommended by a parent there. Friend at work had their DS at River School for a while, happy for infant care and then less thrilled with their program but didn't think it was really bad in a way to worry.

      • OR from above. If OP, you like it, I would get on the waitlist. Time goes quickly and - assuming you ahve a newborn - you may be happy with a nanny to start anyway. Then you will have an option. There was also a daycare at a Montessori School but you had to apply and there were a lot of vacations. We moved to the East 90s -- tons of daycare options there.

    • West Side Y has a daycare called TenderCare. Long waiting list too, though.
