I just had to put my cat down today. She went from healthy and happy to severely anemic and dying almost overnight. The vet said there's nothing we could have done but I just can't shake the feeling that we could have tried harder or something. We held her head and stroked her fur while he euthanized her today. She was only 3 years old. I can't believe this just happened.

So sorry. I know how you feel. It has happened to me in the past and the diagnosis was Feline Infectious Peritenites(spl). There is nothing that can be done for that disease and so you did the right thing. Was your cat ever tested for FIP? Should you get another can in the future, make sure you have it tested for that as well as other cat-specific diseases. I, too, had to put a few young cats down and it was so hard. GL

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
