I so don't want to move to Rumson especially since my MIL is there. IsRumson going to be as miserable of a place as I expect? THere's nothing there. You have to drive 20 minutes to get to anything.

We'[re fine not rolling in it by any means. DH grew up in RUmson and wants to end up there, he wants dd in the school system there. He thinks it's the greatest place on earth. I don't want to live there. We did 18 months in the burbs, and I am happy to be back in the city in a high rise now, and here he is 12 months later interviewing contemplating another move. Not happy about it.

I loved living in Rumson. Liked it so much, I moved to Red Bank after college. It's gorgeous. Summers are heavenly - total upper crust shore town. Beaches in Sea Bright, the boardwalk in Long Branch... YES, you have to drive everywhere - but it's not bad. REALLY! Plus, now that there's a high speed ferry, you're an hour from lunch in NYC!
[ Reply | Options ]DH is al about the beach club in Sea Bright. Sigh, I just don't want to move, and I don't want to be that close to MIL. She has really turned sour over the past few years, and she doesn't understand personal space much less common courtesy like don't just show up and expect to stay for a few hours.

UrbanBaby Asks...
When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
