[ Reply | Options ]what did we do that was dumb and irresponsible?? decide to pick up our mattress with our truck? or not think that POSSIBLY a piece of the truck could rip off and make the mattress go flying? why isn't pick up illegal if you're supposed to think that way?

My god, why are all the ORs being such total a-holes? Take your life's frustration out on your kids or something. Sorry, OP - that sucks.
[ Reply | Options ]op: clearly we know how dangerous that was and that something bad could have happened and thank god it didn't.... now that that part has faded I'm a little bummed that my mattress is sitting on the floor and we have to spend more money. apparently everyone else on this board is sooooooo perfect... give me a break

i once decided to shake loose dirt off the side of a flowerpot by hanging it out a window and shaking it. i was on the 4th floor. it slipped out of my hands and crashed to the busy sidewalk below. my legs literally gave way from the fear and horror of what i might have done -- i literally slid to the floor and started shaking, and 15 years later, i still remember how stupid i was.
