          • Simply-it's so that dd isn't showing everything while she plays.

            • yeah that seems pretty obvious. i'm surprised at how many girls run around with their underwear showing.

              • np: Honestly, it's not that big a deal to me if my dd's underwear shows. I did like bike shorts (when she was willing to wear them) for keeping a little cleaner, but I couldn't care less if her undies show or not.

                • i do want to get to keep a little cleaner. not concerned about showing her undies. i just feel like with just undies dirt can get in and irritate her

    • I buy plain knit shorts/bike shorts from wherever is cheap (target, gymboree, gap). I don't match exactly - usually get white, pink, similar colors to the dresses.

    • Gymboree has some cute ones. Target also has some basic colors this week.

    • mine does, for the same reason - the entire playground doesn't need to see her underwear when she is on the monkey bars. I have to get some, but I saw them on the Children's Place website. I let her pick what she wears, so nothing on her body ever matches - 4 y/o.

      • you are brave - i have to become less controlling with what my dd wears too - but dresses are safe - already a match

        • I have a few rules - whatever it is must be clean (nothing out of the dirty laundry basket) and it must be weather appropriate (or have enough layers added above or below to be warm enough). Things I don't want her wearing are stored out of her sight.

    • I buy whatever bike shorts are on sale at Gymboree. We tried "Monkey Bar Buddies" but they are more $ and polyester and I'd rather her be in breathable fabric. If she can match to the dress, she does but we don't worry too much about it.

    • Just bought some at Target for $3 each. My dd picks her own clothes, I don't even attempt to match anything bc she'd never pick a matching color. What 3yo would? :)
