so you think they really will look at an august boy? what is the general vibe at the school - is it intellectual? crunchy? it was hard to get a sense on the tour.
[ Reply | Options ]yes. Intellectual and crunchy. For a school with plenty of $$ parents its still very low key and really tries to maintain that. There is a real commitment to diversity of all types. I know they look at august kids. There is a PreK so if they love your kid but think he's too young they might discuss that with you.

I can't compare to other schools, but there are children of color, asian children, hispanic children, biracial children. There are lots of jewish families, but also muslims, christians, interfaith families and atheists. There are single parents, adoptive parents and gay parents. I've been at Fieldston when it dismisses and it looks diverse.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
