    • worked out until 8.5 months. cardio lightened up a bit toward the end. however, during 1st trimester, weights and cardio for about 1.5 hours. I hate the gym but it was important to keep healthy during ttc and pg.

        • my ped told me that more exercise was good. my dh made my trainer stop working my legs and core at about 7 months. i wasn't happy. i think your heart rate is the important issue to watch. i had high risk pg because of my age (40).

      • 1.5 hours a day is crazy, unless you live an otherwise sedentary lifestyle.

        • no, i worked about 50 hours a day. i needed to believe my life was not going to change. i should have taken it easier in retrospect. however, all turned out well.

    • No, I sat around and did nothing...seriously. I started working out on the elliptical 2nd tri and then did prenatal yoga in 3rd tri. I was in good shape pre-preg and just didn't want to risk a m/c in the 1st tri. Everything went smoothly. Next time around though, I will be more active in the 1st tri. There's a book about Exercising Through Pregnancy by Dr. Clapp that I want to read. Might be helpful for you.

    • Yes, and nothing changed about my workout other than being tired sometimes. Quit running at 5-6months, and I worked out and lifted weights until 39 weeks.
